The Z-31, laid down in 1940, launched in 1941 and commisioned in 1942, was one of the 19 additional vessels brought into service during the war adding to the 21 destoyers in service at the wars onset. Z-31 was one of seven 1936A (Mob) class destroyers built, she was captured at the end of the war and finally scraped in 1958.
