The Maybach HL210 Engine

I started on the engine by building basic block shapes out of flat sheet plastic, but it did not take long for me to decide that I did not like that approach. Next I took a scaled drawing of the engine block from the counterweight side and made a single .10 profile. I then used that profile to make enough laminates to get the block length.

The "box" method I did not care for.

Laminates

The center line of the block was maintained throughout the laminating process. A piece of aluminum tube was used an a receiver was fashioned to fit inside the fan drive at the fire wall. After the block was sanded first coats of magi sculpt were applied and the front mount was shaped up.
